Springtime Live is one of our calendar highlights; lets see what this year had in store…

On Sunday the 3rd of April the Yorkshire Event Centre was transformed into one of Harrogate’s popular family annual events – Springtime Live! A fun day out for the whole family, the event offered something for everyone and for all ages to enjoy.

The event is organised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society who are also responsible for the annual Great Yorkshire Show. Each year they aim to put on a fun, educational show that allows people of all ages to gain a better understanding of the surrounding countryside and British rural life – and this year did not disappoint!

With record-breaking attendance numbers and over 65 spring-themed activities and workshops taking place throughout the day, visitors were able to experience first-hand everything from local food and farming to getting up close with small animals. One of the highlights of 2016 was without a doubt the presence of Mr Bloom from CBeebies who put on a fantastic educational show.

There were also a number of new additions to the show this year including an Agricultural Machinery Display, Charlotte’s Jersey Ice Cream, donkey rides and music by the Harrogate High Jazz Band.

We hope that everyone who visited on the day had a wonderful time. Next year’s event will take place on Sunday the 9th of April 2017 – we look forward to seeing you all there!
