Caravanning and motorhomes add over £6 billion to the UK economy and provide employment for around 130,000 people. More than 51 million nights are now spent in caravans each year. Wow. Those are staggering stats and it makes taking to the road even more pleasurable!
With the dramatic and diverse scenery that Yorkshire has to offer coupled with the picturesque towns and cities, it’s no surprise that Yorkshire has become such a popular UK destination with tourers. Right on cue to kick off the start of the season, the Yorkshire Event Centre will running 2 Motorhome and Campervan shows in 2018. We will be welcoming back the Warners Shows team for the 6th year hosting The Yorkshire Motorhome and Accessory Show. 2018 is set to be the largest show to date, attracting national and international visitors. Utilising Hall 1 and Hall 2 plus lots of outdoor space, over 120 exhibitors and 300 motorhomes and campervans will be on show from Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th March.
The ‘experts theatre’ will be running free seminars across the weekend offering advice from buying your first vehicle to staying connected when on the road with WIFI tips.
Test drives will also be available, why not let the Caravan & Motorhome Club guide you through some set manoeuvring scenarios in a free 20-minute session.
If you are looking for something more compact but brimming with character don’t miss Springdub! VW Campervans are perfect if you just want to get up and go. From campervan conversion to high performance parts, Springdub is a must for any dub fan. Fantastic display of show vehicles, trade stands, club stands and even a chance to meet some super heroes. Springdub will be exhibiting Saturday 14th April.
Once you have visited the Motorhome and Campervan show to select your new wheels you don’t have far to go for your first stop off. Pick a pitch at Harrogate Caravan Park overlooking the beautiful Crimple Valley. The perfect base for exploring Harrogate, York and Leeds plus the wonderful countryside and Dales beyond.
