The British Craft Trade Fair proved to be a success this year with a wide variety of unique wares on display.

From the 10-12th of April 2016 the UK’s top craftsmen and women headed to Harrogate to display their finest collections of gifts and accessories as part of this year’s British Craft Trade Fair.

Now in its 40th year, the annual event took place at Harrogate’s Yorkshire Event Centre and welcomed over 500 exhibitors, all eager to showcase their range of handcrafted jewellery, textiles, ceramics and other exclusive gifts and accessories.

The fair also offered British and Irish designers the opportunity to network and rub shoulders with other traders from small, independent corner boutiques to large nationwide department stores as well as galleries, museums and architects, all on the lookout for something special. Those new to Britain’s longest running trade fair were able to setup their stands in the dedicated Newcomers Gallery to present their pieces to those attending.

Dedicated to showcasing only British and Irish made products, the fair stands out from others held around the country. With no mass-manufactured or overseas items allowed, visitors are guaranteed to see only the best local products and design talent the British Isles has to offer.

The Yorkshire Event Centre’s picturesque location offers the perfect backdrop for the one-of-a-kind event and there’s no surprise why many of those attending extend their stay in our Victorian Spa Town to experience all it has to offer.
