Choosing a large banquet and dinner venue

A large event calls for an impressive venue to match.  Whether it's a conference, awards dinner or busy exhibition you are running, a venue that can cater for large capacities is essential.  As the festive season draws closer, a large banquet and dinner venue becomes increasingly popular. At the YEC we recognise catering is an important element of any event.  We enjoy tailoring food to each events specific needs.  We can accommodate from 500 to 2,500 guests to a banquet and dinner.

YEC holds events that support charity

A recent auction held at YEC raised funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Cheese lovers at the Great Yorkshire Show raised over £6,000 to help the Yorkshire Air Ambulance save lives. On the last day of the event visitors are given the chance to bid for a round of their favourite cheese.
Natural Light at Yorkshire Event Centre

Natural Light – Good For You, Good For Your Event

Natural light is not only good for you, it’s also good for your event.  There are many benefits of choosing event venues with natural light. Light is a much more than a source of energy. For thousands of years, civilisation has revolved around daylight. It can even influence our wellbeing and mood. Natural daylight can have a huge impact on a building and its visitors.  Of course utilising natural light instead of relying solely on artificial light helps reduce energy consumption.  But did you know how important natural light is for productivity, concentration and overall health?
Gin Events in Yorkshire

Yorkshire Event Centre Collaboration with Mason Gin

Gin has never been hotter so we have teamed up with Masons to produce a special, limited edition gin! Making its way to the top of the trendiest drinks list, gin tasting and gin events in Yorkshire are becoming increasingly popular. To mark the Great Yorkshire Show’s 160th anniversary we have worked with masons to create a truly Yorkshire gin with a real in season twist. Apple blossom collected from trees behind the Yorkshire Event Centre will give the gin it’s unique flavour.
Trade Show

Local Yorkshire Designers Celebrated at BCTF Harrogate Trade Show

Trade shows attract 1,000’s of visitors and provide an ideal opportunity for businesses and traders to meet existing or potential customers in a way that online marketing alone cannot match. Even with the advances of online interaction, physically attending a trade show can help gain your business or brand great exposure. Unlike other forms of marketing, a trade show presents you with an audience that has an invested interest in your industry and are specifically there to source new products and build contacts.  The benefits of exhibiting at a trade show are vast
Environmentally Friendly

Go Green Behind The Scenes

We love colour and probably have the most colourful venue in the UK but our absolute favourite colour is green.  In order to go green you must first be able to think green. Here at the Yorkshire Event Centre we strongly believe in being environmentally friendly and doing our bit to help the planet. Sustainability has always been important to us and was an integral part of the design process when we built Hall 1. The events and festival industry have a reputation for being highly disposable but our ethos is to minimise and reuse any waste produced.  Zero waste events simply mean using resources more efficiently, this not only helps to reduce costs which we can then pass onto our clients but also reduces environmental impacts.
