The Perfect Location

As the old adage goes, “location, location, location” You can have the best venue in the world but if it is difficult to find and hard to get to, no one will come. Ideally, you need somewhere centrally located, close to the motorway network, and somewhere with excellent train connections. An airport is an added bonus. Somewhere like Harrogate to be exact. An elegant town with an excellent choice of hotels, independent shops, bars, and restaurants 211 miles to London and 201 miles to Edinburgh, 6 x daily direct trains to London, and close to the motorway network, Yorkshire Event Centre in Harrogate should be your venue of choice.

We are all happy to know that in-person events have bounced back post-pandemic. However, we are all a lot more aware of the negative impact live events can have. We take our responsibility to the environment seriously; it is part of the ethos of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society so something that is close to our hearts. Whilst we have made progress in some areas, we know we are just at the beginning of our journey to net zero. We want to help you achieve your goals too so please talk to us about how we can help.

Too big or too small

It’s definitely better to have a little too much space rather than be squashed into a space that is too small. However, on the other hand, you don’t want to feel like you are a pea on a drum either. It’s a little bit like Goldilocks, you want your space to be just right. We want your event to be a success so we will not only be honest with you, but we’ll provide CAD floor plans to ensure your setup will fit. Should Yorkshire Event Centre be too large for your event, we have a sister property Pavilions of Harrogate which might be a better fit.

Plenty of Parking Including EV Charging Points

Regardless of the type of event, there will probably be a high percentage of people; visitors and exhibitors, who will drive to the venue. Exhibitors will need easy access for loading as will the stand fitters or a host of other suppliers all needing access to the venue to ensure the success of your event. If there is plenty of parking adjacent to the venue with large, easily accessible loading bays such as we have at the Yorkshire Event Centre, you are guaranteed to make their day. We also have EV charging points across the site and more to come in the not-too-distant future.

Easy to work with

Planning an event can be a stressful process. As a venue, we have a responsibility to ensure that process is as simple as possible. From the very first contact to the last day of the event and beyond, we want this to be the start of a successful partnership that benefits all of us. We will respond within 24hrs with an accurate proposal outlining dates, rates, and an indication of any extras. We’ll provide CAD plans if you need them and get you for a site inspection as soon as you can. We’ll be transparent and honest with regard to pricing and as we aren’t part of a huge corporate machine, we can quickly negotiate contract terms and conditions if necessary. We like doing pre-event ensure and ensure you meet everyone in our small but perfectly formed operations team.
