Countryside Live 2019

Saturday 19th – Sunday 20th October 2019

Celebrating the very best of the countryside, this two-day event is mostly undercover so you’ll have fun whatever the weather.

A great day out for all the family including music and entertainment. Interactive and hands on activities including willow weaving, meet the animals and rural crafts.

There is plenty to do inside both halls at the YEC and activities and classes held across the rings and external space surrounding the event centre.

A great day out for all the family including music and entertainment from the Countryside Live pub and the younger ones can have a go at operating a real life digger in the Diggerland experience. Expect plenty of FREE interactive and hands on activities for youngsters including willow weaving, meet the animals (including exotic animals) and rural crafts.

Famous Faces:

Julia Bradbury will front this year’s Countryside Live for the first time. Best known for presenting BBC Countryfile and Britain’s Best Walks on ITV, Julia is renowned for being genuinely passionate about the countryside and outdoor pursuits.

Julian and Peter who star in Channel 5’s The Yorkshire Vet, will also appear on the Main Stage as well as signing and selling their new books in the Tipsy Heifer Pub. Peter will appear on Saturday 19 October with his newly released book “My Yorkshire Great and Small”, a heart-warming love letter to the places, people and animals of Yorkshire. Julian will be a special guest on Sunday 20 October with his books including the latest: “On Call with a Yorkshire Vet” a diary-style book, full of short stories and anecdotes, published by Great Northern Books.

Advanced tickets – Adults £14, Children (5 – 18 years) £7, Family (2 adults and 3 children) £40

On the gate – Adults £16, Children (5 – 18 years) £8, Family (2 adults and 3 children) £45

Advanced tickets are available until Friday 11th October (by post) or 5pm on Friday 18th October (for e-tickets). After these times tickets will be available to purchase on the gate.
